There are many groups that come to Wee Jasper for wild caving activities in Signature, Punchbowl and Dip series. As their focus is the development of outdoor ed skills the leaders often have never visited Carey's Cave - those that have done so now make it standard practice to bring their new groups for a special tour that focusses on their requirements.
We not only give the students a wealth of information that enhances their understanding and appreciation of the cave environment but we also address issues such as Cave conservation and safety while caving.

Some feedback from recent outdoor ed groups.........

It was great to see the interns utilise the information and knowledge that you passed on during your tour into the caving we were doing. There is no doubt that they gained a lot from their tour with you and all commented on how much they enjoyed it and found it very beneficial, so for that thank you again! It is definitely a highlight of the training and one that I personally always look forward to.

Best of luck with everything, and we look forward to seeing you again.
Thanks again!

Cheers!
Erin.

From Melrose High School

I have been taking Outdoor Education school groups to Carey's Cave for many years. I would
highly recommend any group considering doing the wild caves at Wee Jasper to visit Carey's Cave
so that they can appreciate the true beauty of caves and increase their awareness of the impact
that humans have made on the environment.

Geoff Kell is interesting, informative and engages the students in learning about the cave formations.

“Geoff was funny and knew what he was talking about.”
Year 10 Boy

He is entertaining with many interesting strategies to convey his knowledge.

“it was a brilliant experience ….. I learnt a lot about caves.”
Year 10 girl

Carey's Cave tours should be an essential experience for anyone in the Wee Jasper area.
