THE UNDERGROUND WORKSHOP

PRESENTED IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE AUSTRALIAN SCIENCE FESTIVAL

HELD IN AUGUST EACH YEAR

An enjoyable cave tour which does far more than just scratch the surface.

Caves are a window to the physical material our existence rests upon: the rock beneath our feet.
Even before you enter Carey's Cave you will be fascinated by the spectacular geology of the Wee Jasper area and have many questions relating to it. We venture into a unique underground space that is visually exciting and mysterious as we move back through vast stretches of geological time.

There are many fascinating aspects of Carey's Cave that bear close examination. The personal nature of our tours has assisted us over the years in developing an opportunity for experiences not possible on the traditional cave tour.

In the course of the cave tour at our interactive work area we demonstrate lots of interesting stuff and you may handle crystal samples under magnification and UV lighting.

The Underground Workshop

This approach is proving so popular with school groups that we prefer to limit numbers on each tour so that everyone can participate. The Underground Workshop experience is available to schools or groups visiting Canberra and the surrounding area all year round.

DURING THE AUSTRALIAN SCIENCE FESTIVAL
THE UNDERGROUND WORKSHOP IS AVAILABLE TO EVERYONE!
